Holiday Light Extravaganza In Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach Oceanfront Lights

The biggest tradition at the Beach
As a Holiday lighting and decoration service in Virginia Beach, nothing gets us more excited than the Boardwalk sea of lights at the Beach Oceanfront. Locals go year after year because it is so unique and also entertaining. It offers a huge amount of lights, themes, and displays that you can enjoy by the tranquility of the ocean.

New Light Displays Every Year

Each year the holiday light display offers more events and decorative displays showing North Pole, Elves, Sea Life and other Christmas themes for all to enjoy. You can also tune to your car radio and hear holiday music while you drive on the boardwalk.

Always An Exciting Part of The Holiday In Hampton Roads

I personally have done this numerous times and it never gets old. Also we appreciate the months that must go into it's planning. Since East Coast Holiday Lights is a designer and installer of holiday light services in Hampton Roads, we can only imagine the hours that would have gone into doing something of this magnitude. If you drive in any residential neighborhood or office park you will see scores of displays so you can only imagine the manpower a display of this size will take.

Awards For The McDonalds Holiday Light Show At The Beach

As you would expect, this has won a lot of awards and has widespread popularity. Some of the awards won by the show are:

Official Titles
  • Top 20 Event Rating From The Southeast Tourism Society
  • Top 100 Events By The Bus Tourism Society in North America
It is also a locals favorite. Just go to Pinterest and put in the term "Virginia Beach Holiday Lights" and pictures of this event will come up.

Fire Safety And Holiday Lights

Holiday Lighting Accident Tips For Homeowners

The holiday season is here and with it lots and lots of holiday lights. Holiday lights that involve climbing, wiring, reaching, and of course electricity. The chances for accidents are very prevalent. According to a National Fire Protection Association article:

                    "Holiday lights and other decorative
        lighting with line voltage were
        involved in an estimated average
of 160 home structure fires per
        year."

Over two thirds of those accidents involved electrical malfunctions. Here is a list of tips from the Electrical Safety Foundation to help prevent holiday light accidents in Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads:

  • Always purchase holiday light supplies from a reputable businesses or professional installers
  •  Use holiday lights that have received certification from a testing laboratory
  • When installing holiday lights never put three strands of incandescent lights together
  •  Purchase and use LED lights which run at cooler temperatures and use less electricity
  • Be sure to inspect all equipment for damage in the sockets, wiring, and bulbs
  •  Placement can be critical: make sure the lights are not getting obstructed in doors, windows or furniture
  • Make sure that cords are not pinched in doors, windows, or under heavy furniture, which could damage the cord’s insulation.
  • Turn off lights when going to sleep
  • Before doing installs or take-downs, make sure the electricity is OFF
